History
Yachtbrokerage Nautisch Kwartier Stavoren is a young company with a rich history.
As the son of a shipbuilding family, grandfather Auke van der Werff established the Volharding shipbuilding yard in 1918. This is now home to the current yacht brokerage. It was here that the inland and fishing vessels were constructed.
The next generation developed these original activities in the field of yacht building further and the yard became famous thanks to the construction of the Staverse Kotter, a type of boat that is still being built. In 1988, the yacht building department was separated from the shipbuilding yard and moved to a new location.
Due to modern regulations, the repair activities of the shipbuilding yard are no longer permitted at this historic location. This was also the reason for a change in direction in 1995 when the yacht brokerage section of the company was set up at this unique place in the centre of Stavoren, which is a small town on the IJsselmeer lake!
What do we do?
Our modern sales harbour, offering an average of around 80 used high-quality yachts, is situated at a perfect location in the watersports town of Stavoren.
The constantly changing range of class boats, which we always maintain in great sales condition, allows our experienced yacht brokers to offer you the best possible service and help you to make the right choice which fits in perfectly with our specific wishes!
Although we can help you with valuations, financing, cadastral transfers and insurance policies, you can also count on our expertise when it comes to adapting your boat.
If you are considering selling your own boat we would be only too pleased to make an appointment to carry out a noncommittal valuation of your yacht. Our brokers will advise you objectively and allocate a realistic market value to your prized possession. Our terms and conditions are based on the Hiswa general terms and conditions governing yacht brokerage.
Nautisch Kwartier Stavoren is also dealer of Bénéteau sailing yachts.
We have a very skilled service team comprising three employees who are able to do repair and other necessary tasks in our own workshop. They take care of all manner of standard tasks ranging from yacht brokerage to aftersales of the Bénéteau sailing yachts.
In March 2003, we moved into our brand new office and started using the new sheds. The sheds are divided into a workshop section and a showroom section where the very latest Bénéteau models are on display and where you can admire the boats in the dry and the warm.
